Chin Up, Girl invites the community to Walk It Out for Domestic Violence, the first domestic violence awareness walk in Murfreesboro. The Mayor has proclaimed October 17 Walk It Out for Domestic Violence Day.
Walk with us to honor survivors, remember those we've lost and show that no one in Rutherford County has to face abuse alone. This free, family-friendly morning includes vendors, survivor resources, flu shots from Walgreens, family activities and food trucks. Survivor-decorated t-shirts from our Threads of Strength workshop will line the walking trail.
Registration is free. Wear purple and bring your family, friends, coworkers or church group. Walk It Out is the centerpiece of 31 Days of Purple, Chin Up, Girl's campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
