This hands-on class is designed for aspiring and existing enthusiasts interested in creating all-natural cold process soap. Students will learn how to safely and confidently make soap from scratch using quality natural oils, lye, and water, with a focus on ingredient selection for clean, effective, and beautiful soaps. The class covers essential soap making theory, proper safety procedures, and beginner-friendly formulations that can be scaled for small-batch production. Participants will also explore natural colorants, fragrance oils, and additives commonly used in all-natural bath and body products. Each student will create their own batch of cold process soap to take home, along with curing and storage guidance. Students will be notified when their soap is ready for pickup, about 3 days after class. https://www.oakridgetn.gov/calendar.aspx?EID=4587
